As founder of the firm in 1979, Alfred W. Siegrist has devoted his career to providing quality services to business clients and not-for-profit organizations. Fred started as a one person sole-proprietor. As business grew, he recruited seasoned professionals with diverse and complementary skills to meet the expanding needs of his business clients. He continually promoted skill improvement and a team approach to client problem solving. As a result of his effort, the firm has evolved into a team that is trained to work together to proactively meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Michael J. Cree joined the firm in 1990, became a partner in 1995 and is now Director of Tax Services. His strengths include tax planning and compliance for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and nonprofit organizations. Michael also has extensive experience in representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service. Due to prior experience as an accounting manager and internal auditor before concentrating in taxation, Michael has substantial training in business consulting, auditing and internal control systems. Michael has lectured to various CPA, attorney and nonprofit groups in areas such as personal financial planning, the use of trusts, Unrelated Business Tax and record retention. Michael graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelor's degree in accounting and holds a Master of Science in Taxation degree from Bentley College. He is a CPA licensed to practice in MA and NY and is a member of the MA Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Michael J. Alessandri is Director of Audit and Accounting Services, joined the firm in 2004 and became a principal in 2006. Michael provides audit and tax services to not- for-profit organizations with Yellow Book, A133, Uniform Guidance and UFR requirements, as well as to for-profit organizations, including firms regulated by the SEC, conducts ERISA audits for pension plans regulated by the Department of Labor and serves as a peer reviewer, performing quality reviews of other CPA firms for the MSCPA and AICPA. He has also provided audit services for educational institutions, medical practices and credit unions. In previous roles, Michael was the founder of an accounting practice, controller for a public manufacturing firm, and audit manager with Price Waterhouse & Co. and served as an instructor of auditing at Bentley College. He is a graduate of Babson College.
Robert L. Strauss joined the firm in 2001. Bob is involved primarily in preparing and reviewing both individual and corporate tax returns. In 2005, Bob became the Tax Manager. In addition to his work in the tax department, Bob is also involved in providing financial services to clients. He performs annual reviews as well as supervises the monthly compilation process and report preparation for several clients.
